Halle Berry, born August 14, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio is a model turned actress.
Her father was an African-American man while her mother was Caucasian. At the young age of four, her abusive father left her and the family. The family was then moved to an inner-city suburb where Halle would stand out from the rest because of her skin color. However, that did not stop her much in highschool. Halle was on the cheerleading squad, an honors student, the editor of the school newspaper, class president, and prom queen. Her place in the spotlight began when pursuing a modeling career. Halle has since won many beauty contests and pageants. Halle has had some small roles in television shows but her big debut was in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever. At the peak of her career, Halle has starred as the Bond Girl in Die Another Day, Storm in the X-Men movies, and as Catwoman.
